Paint Desk – Sandeep Commission
Finished this guy today for a friend. My main goal was getting the skin tone right. Now back to paint some of my stuff. Next up is Reva and her two candles.
The Paint Desk – Chiaki the Niece (Done)
This is an outstanding sculpt. Nice detail, full of character and it gave me a place to stretch my skills. Overall I’m pleased with the black and the green energy effect. The freehand on the skirt is based on spending too much time looking at “Oriental Lotus Pattern Dress” on Google Images.
Paint Desk – Chiaki the Niece WIP
I have the colors blocked in. Her face and arms are finished. Next I’ll start to detail, shade and highlight. Plans are for OSL from the green and a pattern of purple lotuses on the white dress.
I am anxious to try her in the condition-based strats. What are your thoughts on her?

You’d never know it, but Craig and I both paint, he’s just significantly better than I am!
Went with GW colors here, working with some Sotek Green into Temple Guard Blue as the base. Did some beast hide and ashanti bone for the flesh and claws. Continue reading
Paint Desk – Kentauroi #2
I am almost done with my second Kentauroi. Left to do:
- Finish the black hair and hooves
- Add gore
- Add grass to the base and moss to the stone
They are amazing on the table and wonderful sculpts. I’m happy with the blends on the gravestone and with the horse flesh. I’ll post the finished piece here and on AWP. Continue reading
Paint Desk – Rogue Necromancy
I’ve never been a fan of this sculpt but after spending some hours painting it, it grew on me. I am happy with the skin – flesh but rotting. I tried to spend extra time on the wings using pictures of actual brown eagles as a reference. Overall I’m pleased but would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
Painting for Charity
